OCEAN Grove Surf Life Saving Club’s 29th Rip to River Classic took place on Sunday January 4 and attracted a record crowd and entry.
The 10km beach run was won by David McNeil for the men and Sandra Prosenica for the women.
Ocean Grove’s Nick Wightman and Ryan Christian were third and fourth.
McNeil won with a track record 30.51. The wider event also attracted a record 1550 entrires.

Natasha Andrews was second for the women in the 10k and June Petrie ran in at third.
The 5km race was won by David Bayley, followed by Ned Verwey and Scot McPherson.
The ladies winner was Loretta McGrath, followed by Georgie Buckley and Jmara Hockley Samon.
Alistair Dunlop was first in the 10k walk, followed by Angelo Fusca and Gary McFarlane.
Jennifer Jackson was the first female walker over the line, followed by Fiona Bennett and Susan Adamson.
In the Ripper Nipper, Isaac Hockey was the first boy home, followed by Alex Hackett and Mitchell Carlise-Goldblatt.
For the girls the first four home were Annika Miesen, Brooke Zerafa, Louise Wood and Kira Kinsey.
