A USUALLY secluded part of an Ocean Grove beach became a centre of attention last week when a film crew cordoned off a section to shoot a new film.
Actors Luke Jacobz and Kaela Hilton were surrounded by sunbaking extras as producer Ron Brown arranged the scene for the independent film Suite for Fleur on the beach area at the foot the beach stairs off Wedge Street.
Jacobz, who recently won Dancing with the Stars and previously featured in Heartbreak High, McLeod’s Daughters and Home and Away, was filmed applying sun cream to Hilton, herself recently a star in the Underbelly.
Most of the filming was trouble free although in the director was seen to lose his cool when a line of spectators formed up right across the screen shot. The situation was diffused when the interested beachgoers moved on.
