IT may have been the flattest day for months but there was still enough push to get surfers up and riding at the January Disabled Surfing Event Day.
About 80 volunteers turned out to enjoy the surf with another 30 participants when the event was held on Saturday morning.
As is usual with Ocean Grove DSA events the temperature soared over 30 degrees but at least the wind was cooler than previous days.
The Disabled Surfers Association is all about surfers helping surfers – or people who have always wanted to surf and had never previously had the chance.
Working in groups the trained volunteers encourage and ensure the participants are safe.
The next DSA Victoria event will be at Ocean Grove Main Beach on Saturday February 27 from 9.30am.
